“He was born and raised in the Maasai land of Monduli and Ngorongoro where the wildlife in his surroundings are very common, vast plains, acacia canopies, rolling hills make a home to high animal diversity. He went to high school in lake Manyara area, and his English started to develop. Him growing in big and interactive communities of the Maasai tribe(where meals, water, singing,different rituals are all communally shared), Joel likes to interact with people, sharing his culture and loves telling stories about himself, and stories that were told by old generations.

With all the attractions in the beautiful land of Engaruka and lake Natron were it was his playing and grazing grounds, visitors (tourists) came to enjoy and experience the breathtaking of lake shores, waterfalls, and the active volcano of oldonyo lengai and this was done by the local guides, Joel being one of the most adorable, informative with great sense of humor from the area.

He then went for further education for wildlife management & tourism, and interpretation skills in Arusha and Kilimanjaro region, combine with his tremendous informal knowledge of wildlife from when he was growing, Joel became not only professional but one of the best safari guides in the country. He also underwent different training courses with the best trainers from all over the continent, his senses and respect towards wildlife, have always impressed any guests that have happen to jump in his safari Jeep. He’s a very keen conservationist and exhibits a very rare and engaging enthusiasm & personality when talking about what bursts his heart and mind the most “the african savannah”.
