We sent the travel suggestions to Joseph and he put together the complete trip with our wishes. Joseph is the manager of Ashe, he personally picked us up from the airport at 1.30 in the morning and took us to the first accommodation, which was immediately a surprise for us as it was a different lodge than originally booked. At 2.30 in the morning we stood in front of a blue-lit pool in the middle of Arusha. The day was then meant to relax and we met in the afternoon with Joseph and our guide, talked through the trip again. Our adventure then started on 01.07.2024 and ended on 17.07.2024. Arusha National Park - Lake Natron - Manyara National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Central Serengeti - North Serengeti - Victoria Lake Mwanza - Lake Eyasi - Tarangire National Park - West Kilimanjaro - Arusha. We cannot tell everything we have seen and experienced, otherwise it will be a book. But it can be emphasized that the experiences with the tribe of Sukuma with the history of the tribe, and the snake dance is a unique experience, and with the tribe of Hadzabe who talk with clicky and we were there in the hunt, is of course also a unique experience. Then to the tribe of Datoga who are traders and trade with all tribes, and then learn their history, that is unique. Most people only know the Maasai tribe. We saw the crossing of a huge herd of wildebeest in the North Serengeti by the Mara River, what you only know from the TV just a dream. Of course the whole animals on the whole trip whether elephants, lion packs, hyenas, cheetahs, monkeys, birds, tree lions etc. we can not list everything. What we want to emphasize of course is our driver Joel, who later also became our guide ( our guide is down ) he was just awesome and became a friend on our trip. We would like to thank Team Ashe again for a wonderful 18 days in Tanzania. Sabine and MichaelVerifiedEva S2024-07-16Dreamlike Safari through Tanzania Our trip with Ashe was fantastic. From the planning of the trip, to the stay until the departure back home we felt well looked after. The lodges and camps during the 17-day safari in northern Tanzania were excellently chosen and the driver Joel is the best in the world. We really enjoyed the trip and will travel again with this agency.VerifiedYusuke2022-08-10Amazing experience with Ashe team members The team members were amazing and reliable! I did 3 days Mt.Meru hiking. They provided me mountain rental gears which were needed. On the 3rd day, I had diarrhea and mountain sickness. So, I was totally not good condition. But, they were so nice to me, cheered up to me, then I could finally reached the summit.VerifiedFrancesco B2022-08-06Reliable and friendly service in Arusha I did the 4 days Mt Meru hike with them and everything went smoothly. Joe is a reliable manager and friendly person. Totally recommended!VerifiedAshleyKay742020-02-27Better than I could have ever expected!!! We booked this trip fairly last minute and I happened upon Ashe tours in a trip advisor forum. I reached out and the owner immediately responded via WhatsApp. I gave him an idea of our budget, timeframe and wants and he put together an amazing 6 night budget safari!!! The communication can not be beat, there is no way you could get this kind of personalized service from a large safari company. I will add because I was thrown off by it, you have to send your deposit directly to a bank account, PayPal doesn't work in Tanzania, you can find a ton of websites to do it on. On our first day we missed our flight and they were completely accommodating and waiting for us on arrival. We had lunch with the owner and met our driver Joe and chef goodluck! Oh! It was also valentines and the owner made us beautiful cards and gave us Rose's, it was such a thoughtful touch! From there we drove to a Maasai village, I will admit we could have skipped this but it's just not our style, we were the only tourists there but you do a dance and they sing and you see their homes and then they sell their bracelets etc. Joe, our driver was Maasai as well and we learned so much more and had so much more fun speaking to him.about his culture over dinners. That night we stayed in a great hotel with tents already set up we were given a large room with a gray bed!! The next day we headed to the Serengeti and time just flew by!!! We got there and spent several hours on safari and it was just mind blowing!! We camped that night to the sounds of lions growling all night! The next day was amazing over 10hrs in the park, we saw lions eating, cheetahs, a leopard, too many elephants, giraffes and different species of gazelle to count!! The camp had toilets and showers! I'd recommend bringing your own toilet paper. We spent the next morning in the serengeti and just as we were leaving Joe had a feeling and took us to an area that seemed like nothing was going on and all of a sudden 4 cheetahs show up!! Then the cheetahs jumped onto our car it was genuinely one of the most exciting experiences of my life!!! The next campsite was lovely and we went to Ngorongoro, we had done no research and were just completely completely blown away!!!! We saw too many things to list and it was breathtaking! We saw a Rhino this day! Big 5!!! The next day we were meant to spend in Arusha and we requested to do one more day on safari which the owner accommodated!! Overall it was just an absolutely amazing experience and I would(and have) recomend Ashe to anyone!!! A few other things: If you're a coffee snob like us bring a french press or aeropress and your own coffee. Bring toilet paper. Plenty of bug spray and sunscreen. It's also helpful to have some small bills to buy soda and beer when you have an opportunity. Oh! They will take you to a market on your first day and I highly recommend stocking up on things you want! They'll have juice, tea coffee but if you want soda or alchohol get enough for the entire time here. Be prepared to eat A LOT the breakfasts, lunches and dinners are huge! Our chef did an amazing job but we felt bad wasting pretty often! I'm trying to think of anything else to include please feel.free to message me with any questions!!! Seriously though request Joe as your driver he is absolutely wonderful!VerifiedOhioTravelchic2019-10-16Saw it all in Tanzania, trip of a lifetime!!! Booking such a once in a lifetime trip can be so overwhelming. Where to go, what to see and what company to chose from. I love doing research and knew I’d get once shot at seeing as much of Tanzania as possible. My friend and I celebrated my one year in remission by summiting Kilimanjaro (see my other review) and then set aside 11 days to see as much of the authentic Tanzania as we could. I scoured for hours, sent several of the top listed travel companies my itinerary to get prices and to see what they could come up with. I couldn’t find anything in my budget or get that personal interaction that I was hoping for. I then started reading the forums for “guides” and came across one gentleman named Joe who people highly recommended. Joe was just starting up his company now called Ashe Tanzania Tours. I reached out to Joe with my ideal itinerary visiting places that weren’t touristy but off the beaten path so we could get a real taste of this amazing country while still seeing the parks you can’t pass up. Joe responded immediately and I knew he was the guy. We formed a trusting relationship over the next 5 months and Joe was able to customize a trip of a lifetime for my friend and I. He was honest about what he could and could not do for our budget and sent some of the places he had in mind to make sure I was happy with it. When the time came and Joe and his amazing driver and guide met us it was like meeting an old friend. He is super kind, wanting to make sure we were enjoying every second of the trip and Patrick was a very safe and knowledge driver and guide. Everything was set up for us and we didn’t;t have to do a thing but to sit back and enjoy this amazing trip. We visited three different tribes that were not touristy at all. We literally immersed ourselves in the Masai Tribe, Hadzabi Tribe and the Datoga Tribe. These were not tribes that tourists visit. It was absolutely incredible to see how they truly live. We traveled through several different parks to see the Big 5 which we did!! We also drove to Northern Serengeti to see the wildebeest migration and actually got to witness this incredible journey. We stayed at tent camps with the most amazing views and most of the time I felt like I was in a National Geographic magazine. They made us feel safe at all times, we enjoyed their company most evenings at camp and took care of us like we were part of their family. At the end of the trip we flew to Zanzibar and Joe booked the most amazing hotel right on the water. He went out with us to get lost in the maze of streets but respected us when we wanted Ike to just relax on our own. When trying to buy souvenirs he helped us barter and would tell us when they were trying to rip us off. Joe did not take us to any places were he would get a kick back because most of the time it was us saying hey lets stop here. They held our luggage for us while we were in Zanzibar so we wouldn’t have to carry all of our gear. Everything we asked for or needed they helped us get. I cannot recommend them enough. Joe started working in luxury tent camps and even lived in the bush for many years but is now following his dreams to have his own successful tour company. If you are looking for a off the beaten path, authentic trip through Tanzania with someone who personally sees to it that you get the most out of your trip then ASHE TANZANIA TOURS is your company. Believe me I’m super picky and hard to please because I know what I want and Joe nailed this trip for us!! If you have any questions or want to see more amazing photos please DM me. (If you are a photo enthusiast like me, this is a perfect match.). Sometimes being a bigger company with lots of reviews doesn’t always mean better. Joe can work with any budget and make your dream a reality!! We had an absolute blast and experienced things people only see on the discovery channel!! Do yourself a favor and check them out.Verifieddianecalhoun1022019-10-11Ngorongoro Crater Safari Tour Ashe Tanzania tours was really awesome with accommodating our large group. They drove to our hotel and picked us up bright and early. The cars were clean and roomy, which was important because it was a long ride to Ngorongoro. I loved that Ashe Tanzania tours had mini refrigerated coolers in their vehicles, as well as charging ports for your devices. Our driver, Benjamin was really friendly, informative and helpful! To sum it up, if you're in Tanzania, you don't want to miss out on going on Safari. We saw lions chasing warthogs, and lions sunbathing in the grass. The resting spot where you can eat lunch is where you can get a great view of the hippo's. Never in my life have I seen such a vast range of terrain in one area- from dry grasslands inside the crater, to lush plant life coming in and out of the crater. I highly recommend Ashe Tanzania Tours! -DianeVerifiedIBRAHIM H2019-05-02AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE All I needed while travelling to Tanzania was an unforgettable and memorable "SAFARI" Trip in Swahili like, being closer (less than 5m) to a Giant Elephant at Tarangire National Park and experiencing that visit at Ngorongoro Crater. Thanks to Ashe tour Guide " Abdalah" and the management for this well organised trip. Look forward travelling with you for another Safari obviously to Serengetie National Park and Zanzibar!!! Thanks a lot. ASSANTE SANA, ASHE!!!Verifiedyesayachuri@gmail.com2019-02-20Had a great time, whole trip well organised and was quite an adventure. Exciting to see the big 5 at such a close range at Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater. Thanks to Ashe for this memorable trip.
